Support from CAPC

We are delighted to have received a letter of support from Mrs. Laura Midgley, co-founder of the Campaign Against Political Correctness (CAPC).

In her letter Mrs. Midgley writes:

Political correctness is rampant at the moment and so are the people who are fed up with it.

We applaud your slogan, "Taking British archives forward in the battle against political correctness" and wish you all the very best with your endeavours. We all need to work together at every level to beat this menace which is threatening to destroy our way of life. We should all encourage the values of respect, tolerance and decency but we must not support an enforced, thought-policed code. We should encourage others to be kind, considerate and polite, and treat people as we would like to be treated ourselves, but we cannot remove people's right to free speech to achieve this aim. Virtually everything that is being done in the name of political correctness is achieving the opposite of its whole excuse for existing making it a divisive, intolerant, restrictive movement and the sooner we take action to stop it ruining future generations the better.
